Most of our staff opticians are Board Certified by the American Board of Opticianry.  This ensures that all of our employees are properly trained to understand the complexity of your prescription and to find the best optical solutions to meet your needs.

Heinz Ebner - Owner     My first experience with retail optical was in High School working at my parent's store. While in college I worked in the eyeglass safety program at IBM. After college I managed an eyeglass manufacturing plant for almost 10 years then made the decision to get back into the optical retail business. My wife and I started Aspen Eyewear in 1986, did our own tenant finish, and even built the display stands. In 1990 we remodeled and doubled the size of our store. By 1996 our oldest daughter started working with us and now plays a key role in the operation of the business. And then in 2005 my middle daughter joined the business as well.

Patty DiPasquale - Certified Optician/Custom Lab     I have 30 years experience performing optical lab work, with the past 10 being here at Aspen Eyewear. We are a unique store in the fact that we have our own in-house lab where I do my work. If there is a problem with your lenses, I'll see that it gets fixed right away.

Jennifer Ebner - Certified Optician/Manager     I've been around the family business most of my life but officially joined the business in 1996. No one is more aware than me that this is fundamentally a service business. I will do what ever is necessary to ensure your satisfaction with our service and products.

Emily Goodwin - Certified Optician     I started in the optical business eleven years ago in Summit County.  In 2001, I began working for the Ebner family.  I really enjoy working here because it is like being part of a family and we treat each patient as if they are also part of the family.  I have years of experience fitting patients with specialty sports-related eyewear such as prescription goggles for skiing and scuba diving.

Sara Ebner - Certified Optician     I am the youngest Ebner in the business at this time.  Having grown up around the family business and practically living at the store at times, I have years of practical optical experience.  I also am responsible for the marketing of the store.

Nikki Carlton - Certified Optician      I began working as an optician in 1999 and have enjoyed the opportunity to help many patients acheive a better quality of life through the way they see the world.  I have worked abroad in Tijuanna, Mexico to help less fortunate individuals improve their ocular health and vision.  My optical training was done in Chicago, IL and I take great pride in my work.

Buddy Smith - Certified Optician     I am a Colorado native with almost seven years of optical experience.  I have worked in the labs generating lenses and I am accustomed to selling, dispensing and repairing eyewear.  I am new to the Boulder area and Aspen Eyewear but very experienced in optics.  I look forward to meeting you soon!

Nick Dyl - Certified Optician     I grew up in the optical industry and have extensive experience in all realms of it.  I have travelled the US as a wholesale fashion representative and now look forward to personally styling you here.
